Interview with Reggie and Sarah

JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Reggie: Yoou wear what thy issue you to wear
Sarah: Cotton pull-on slacks, long-sleeve pull-on top, no buttons, underwear, socks, clogs, and a bag with a thin blanket, towel, wash cloth, change of clothes. No pillow. I used the bag for my pillow, and the wash cloth to cover my eyes from the bright lights 24 hours.

JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Reggie: You have 2 pair of boxers,2 pair of socks, 2 tee shirts. You receive 2 orange jumpsuits or a top and bottom orange and white stripped.
Sarah: The above pull-on slacks and top were grey with faint broad stripes.

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Reggie: You would be lucky to get long johns because it was always cold.
Sarah: Not that I know of. It was all the same. Only choice is size. When I would take a shower, I would turn the clothes in at a window in the shower room and they would issue me a new set. Always the same.

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Reggie: The women wear blue or sometimes orange and white stripes.
Sarah: Women have grey. I think men have orange.
